As part of this commitment, we ask that you provide us with information about your current and past medical history. This allows us to provide appropriate, detailed and individualised podiaty treatment. It also ensures we have access to this information in case of an emergency.
Please speak to our administration staff on the requirements of your appointment so that appropriate time allocation can be made. Please advise us if you are a new or existing client or if you are covered by TAC, Work Cover, DVA or NDIS.

What to bring with you
If you have been referred to us by another practitioner, please bring any relevant documents with you to your appointment.
Examples of relevant documents include; referral letters, X-rays, bone scans, diagnostic letters and Medicare referrals.
It is also helpful to bring your usual or most regularly worn shoes and any current or previous orthoses. Please remember to wear or bring comfortable clothes that will allow the Podiatrist to assess your lower limbs; this may include your knees and hips if required.
A home visit service is available, at the discretion of the treating podiatrist, to existing regular patients when their condition prevents them from being able to attend the Clinic. We are unable to provide this service to new patients who have not as yet attended our clinic. Arrangements for a home visit must be made in advance and approved by the treating podiatrist.
We pride ourselves on comprehensive appointments that are not timed based but client focused. At times diagnostic tests, additional treatments and consumables may incur additional fees, you will always be informed of any additional costs. We are not a bulk billing clinic. In return for our professional services, we expect payment at the time of your consultation. Forms of payment we accept are cash, eftpos and credit card.
For your convenience we have a HiCaps system available which means if you have private health insurance that includes podiatry cover you can claim your benefits immediately and only pay the balance. You are able to check your level of cover with your private health fund prior to your appointment.
Department of Veterans Affairs Gold and White card holders
Wodonga Podiatry is registered to treat Veteran Affair card holders. Although due to changes within the Department of Veterans Affairs regarding Allied Health Referrals for medical treatment, all patients holding either a Gold card or White card must see there GP for a referral for Podiatry (D904). This referral will entitle DVA patients to 12 sessions of podiatry care within a 12 month period. Any sessions that are not used within the 12 month period will be invalid and a new referral must be obtained from their GP to continue further treatment. At the end of the treatment cycle, the treating Podiatrist will report back to the GP who will assess whether further treatment is required. If it is needed, the GP may refer the you for a further treatment cycle of up to 12 sessions. These changes will commence as of the 1st July 2019.

Wodonga Podiatry participates in Chronic Disease Management Plans. Patients referred under this scheme are entitled to five subsidised visits in a calendar year. A GP referral is required prior to your appointment for those who meet the eligible criteria.
As we are not a bilk billed clinic, we expect full payment on the day and you will be reimbursed the Medicare rebate directly into your nominated account. We will submit the rebate claim to Medicare directly. You should expect to receive the rebate within 48 hours.
Following your appointment, your podiatrist will send a report outlining your diagnosis and management to those involved in the GP Management Plan.
TAC And Work Cover
Work Cover and TAC patients are expected to pay on the day for all appointments and will only be billed to the employer or insurance company once documented approval has been granted. Prior to approval, however if liability is not be accepted for the injury, then the account will remain the your responsibility. Please bring along all documentation including scans and reports relating to your claim and injury, your claim number, employer details and insurer details to your appointment.
Failure to Attend and Cancellation Policy
Failing to attend an appointment or failing to cancel an appointment with 24 hours’ notice will incur a fee of $30 per appointment. This is not refundable by Medicare.
